Richardson To Provide Leadership of Business Development, Investor Relations at Opportunity Stanislaus

Modesto, CA –On Tuesday, February 7 Opportunity Stanislaus promoted Tyler Richardson from Vice President of Investor Relations to a dual position that includes Chief Business Development Officer. Richardson joined Opportunity Stanislaus 17 months ago prior to its transition from the Stanislaus Business Alliance.

Richardson has had interim oversight of the Business Development department for the past eight months, steering initiatives with the overarching goals of job creation, unemployment reduction, and business expansion. Prior to his tenure at Opportunity Stanislaus Richardson was General Manager of the Modesto Nuts professional baseball club.

Opportunity Stanislaus Chief Executive Officer David White is excited about Richardson’s fit in the position. “Tyler has utilized his relationships with the business community to help us reach our five-year fundraising goal of five million dollars in pledges,” said White. “I am confident that his understanding of our county’s strengths and opportunities will result in positive gains for us in terms of business development.”

Under Richardson’s leadership awareness of the business climate and available sites and buildings in Stanislaus County among Bay Area commercial realtors has grown, a marker Richardson thinks will be key to long-term local growth. “We believe that Stanislaus County is a great place to do business,” said Richardson. “All of our communities are committed to empowering businesses to succeed by providing the support and services necessary. Additionally, utilities and leases are incredibly affordable and land is available for businesses in need of expansion. We have the amenities and I look forward to informing our connections and seeing growth as a result.”

Richardson will start his new position immediately but will continue to oversee fundraising and the collection of campaign pledges. To learn more about the campaign please visit
