On Thursday, May 11 the Business Development Council met with and toured Modesto-based company Enviro Tech Chemical Services Inc. Founded in 1991, Enviro Tech focuses on the development and manufacturing of novel EPA and FDA approved chemistries with a primary emphasis on safe yet effective antimicrobial formulations.
Following a reference from the Opportunity Stanislaus Business Development team, Enviro Tech was recently awarded a California Competes Tax Credit to expand their plant in Modesto. The credit in the amount of $400,000 will help offset the $2MM expansion of the Modesto facility and will help create 14 more full-time jobs at the site.
The Business Development saw the impact of the credit when they, along with GO-Biz Senior Business Development Specialist Diane Banchero, toured the facility, and learned about the vision for expansion.
Opportunity Stanislaus has also worked to link Enviro Tech to Modesto & Empire Traction Company to utilize their railroad track and allow more product to be brought into their facility. For more information about tax credits visit http://www.business.ca.gov/
